§ Mr. Mayhew:There is no evidence that any Germans from the British zone have sought asylum in the Soviet zone since the end of the war.

§ Mr. Mayhew:The number of refugees previously resident in the Soviet zone who had registered as entering the British zone between the end of the war and the 1st October, 1949, was approximately 513,200. The present average monthly influx is estimated at 3,000.
