Mr. Beswickasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs the estimated total expenditure, to the nearest date, by this country since the end of the war on occupation of the British Zone of Germany, and on foodstuffs, raw materials and othe goods sent to support the German economy, respecticely.
§ Mr. MayhewExpenditure up to 31st March, 1949, was about £390 million on military and civil occupation costs and about £200 million on supplies and services for the German economy.
