§ Mr. StracheyEdible soft oil, such as groundnut oil, is only one of the oils which are used to make margarine. On the average 739 lb. of soft oils, equivalent to 1,607 lb. of shelled groundnuts, are used, together with additional quantities of hard oils and other ingredients to make one ton of margarine.
