§ 74. Mr. Beswickasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has any further proposals to make to the United Nations with regard to the present deadlock over the international control of atomic energy.
§ Mr. MayhewHis Majesty's Government stand by the proposals of the majority of the Atomic Energy Commission, which they helped to formulate and which were approved by the General Assembly of the United Nations on 4th November, 1948. These proposals constitute the essential basis for any effective system of international control of atomic energy.
