§ Mr. H. WilsonI am anxious to allow caterers and other large users of domestic pottery to have their ware rubber stamped with initials or some other mark of identification as soon as possible. My Department have very recently discussed with the pottery manufacturers the possibility of making such a relaxation in control; but I am advised that at the present time this could not be done without sensibly affecting total production and exports owing to the continuing shortage of suitable labour in the potteries. I am, however, keeping the matter constantly under review.
