81. Mr. Scott-Elliotasked the President of the Board of Trade what steps are being taken to provide increased supplies of equipment for Scottish hotels, in view of the need to increase our overseas tourist traffic.
§ Mr. BottomleyVery few articles of equipment required by hotels are now rationed, and every effort is made to see that any which are scarce are distributed fairly. Particular attention is paid to those hotels which are of importance in the overseas tourist traffic, and I fully realise that many Scottish hotels are of this kind. If my hon. Friend will let me have details of any specific instances of difficulty in getting equipment, I shall look into the matter.
