§ Mr. StracheyBroccoli prices are not controlled. In the week ended 7th May, the price range for Kentish broccoli according to quality was from 10s. to 30s. per cwt., and in the following week 7s. 6d. to 24s. per cwt. In the same period the average retail price in the south-eastern division, which includes Kent and parts of Surrey and Sussex, was 6d. per lb., but this average, of course, conceals wide variations according to quality and, also, sources and volume of supply.
