§ 16. Mr. M. Lindsayasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will withdraw his instructions to local authorities that Civil Defence shelters shall not be removed, where they stand on private property and are a nuisance to the owners thereof as, for example, in small gardens.
§ Mr. EdeI do not feel justified in authorising the removal of shelters except where necessary in the public interest.
