§ Mr. Dryden Brookasked the Minister of Works what adjustments he proposes to make in the Control of Rates of Hire of Plant Order to meet changing conditions; and when it will be possible for this control to be abandoned.
§ Mr. KeyI have made a further order to give effect from 1st April, to certain recommendations made to me by the Committee that advises me on plant hire rates. In reply to the second part of the Question, although I have not felt able to cancel the control altogether at the present time, I hope that conditions will enable me to do so before the end of the year.
