HL Deb 29 March 1949 vol 161 cc841-2WA
THE EARL OF MANSFIELD

asked His Majesty's Government whether they are aware of the financial difficulties in which a number of doctors and dentists throughout the country now find themselves, as the result of not having yet been paid anything for the medicines and other requisites that they have supplied to patients under the National Health schemes; and if steps can be taken to make at least partial interim payments immediately.

LORD SHEPHERD

No, but if the noble Lord will send me particulars of any such cases I will have them investigated.

House adjourned at twenty-five minutes before eight o'clock.
