§ Mr. H. WilsonIt is not the practice of the Board of Trade to disclose the names of firms to whom import licences have been granted. The figure quoted by my hon. Friend represents the actual imports during January, 1949. The licences covering these imports would have been issued during the preceding six or twelve months. It is not possible to specify the particular types of electric lamp and valve-making machinery imported.
