§ Mr. Skeffingtonasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he has considered the report of a meeting which took place at Thika, Kenya, in February, 1949, addressed by Mr. J. Patrick, the trade union adviser in the Colony, at which a resolution was passed by local employers present deprecating the furtherance of trade unionism in Kenya; and if he will give an assurance that the promotion of trade unionism is still an object of British Colonial policy.
