10. Wing-Commander Hulbert

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Civil Aviation the total remuneration to be received by the Chairman of British European Airways for the 12 months commencing 1st March.

Mr. Lindgren

The remuneration of the present Chairman, Mr. d'Erlanger, is at the rate of £;6,500 per annum (salary) and £1,000 per annum (allowance for expenses). The Chairman-designate, Lord Douglas, who will take over on 14th March and relinquish his appointment on the Board of B.O.A.C. on the same date, will receive £5,000 per annum (salary) and £750 per annum (allowance).
