§ 68. Mr. MacLeodasked the Minister of Transport whether he is aware of the unsatisfactory transport facilities at Kessock Ferry, linking Inverness with the Black Isle area in Rossshire; and whether he intends to take any action to improve this unsatisfactory service.
§ Mr. CallaghanResponsibility for this ferry rests with the Inverness Burgh and the Ross and Cromarty County Councils, who jointly own and operate it. My right hon. Friend has powers to make a grant from the Road Fund towards the cost of any improvement if the ferry is freed from tolls.
