asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty (1) how many married quarters for ratings have been built or have been made available in the years 1947 and 1948, respectively; and where these married quarters are situated:

(2) how many additional married quarters for officers have been built or made available in the years 1947 and 1948, respectively; and where these married quarters are situated.

During the financial year 1947–48, 144 married quarters for officers and ratings were built or made available at home and abroad. The corresponding figure for the financial year 1948–49 is 65.
