As regards the second part of the Question, all cases of tuberculosis are X-rayed, either at the time their medical unfitness for service is determined or shortly before. Apart from any other consideration periodic X-ray examinations are made of all cases undergoing treatment for tuberculosis as this is necessary to assess progress.
