asked the Minister of Agriculture why it is necessary to continue the British wool section of his Department with offices at Charlbury, Oxfordshire; and when he expects to decontrol the marketing of wool.

The British wool section of my Department is being continued in order to collect and dispose of the 1949 home wool clip. I hope that a Marketing Scheme for wool under the Agricultural Marketing Acts which the Farmers' Unions of the United Kingdom are preparing, will come into operation in time to handle the 1950 clip.
