§ Mr. Granvilleasked the Minister of Health if he is aware that a state of emergency exists in large parts of East Suffolk owing to absence of supplies of water to drink for local inhabitants; and if he will confer with the Minister of Agriculture and the Secretary of State for War to enable special steps to be taken to supply water during the present drought.
§ Mr. BevanI would refer the hon. Member to the reply which I gave him on 23rd May. I have had no requests for assistance from the local authorities who are responsible for the temporary measures for dealing with shortages.
