asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what compensation is to be paid to small traders in distress who suffered serious damage and loss during the rioting in Accra.

The possibility of makingex gratia grants was considered in April last by the Legislative Council of the Gold Coast which decided that funds should not be provided for this purpose.
