Friend on 27th June, the National Coal Board are at present engaged in a review of their manpower requirements and until that review is completed a precise answer to my hon. Friend's Question cannot be given. In general, however, additional recruitment is required more particularly in the North-Eastern, East Midlands, West Midlands and South-Western Divisions.
