Mr. Charles Smith

asked the Minister of Education the total number of classes with over 50 pupils, over 40 pupils and over 30 pupils, respectively, in primary and secondary schools, respectively; and what proportion this constitutes in each case of the total number of classes in these two categories of schools.

Commander Maitland

asked the Minister of Education (1) how many primary classes contained more than 40 children and how many more than 50 children at the latest convenient date;

(2) how many secondary classes contained over 30 children and how many contained over 40 children at the latest convenient date.
