§ Mr. Gammansasked the Secretary of State for Air if he will make a statement on the memorandum sent to His Excellency the Governor of Singapore by the Air Ministry local staff union regarding pay and conditions of the civilian 174W employees of the Royal Air Force in Singapore.
§ Mr. A. HendersonThe Air Commander-in-Chief, Far East, has been asked to forward a copy of the memorandum referred to. I may say, however, that the Commander-in-Chief has already been informed that this union may be recognised locally for such grades of non-industrial staff as in his opinion it sufficiently represents.
