Lieut.-Commander Hutchisonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland why the salaries payable to the Keeper of the Records and Keeper of the Registers are of differing amounts; and why, having regard to the knowledge and administrative capacity requisite for the successful tenure of such posts, are they fixed as low as £1,500 and £1,400 per annum, respectively.
