HC Deb 09 February 1949 vol 461 cc77-8W
Sir E. Graham-Little

asked the Minister of Supply whether, as commercial production and sale overseas of the Medresco hearing aid has been effected, as details submitted to him demonstrate, he will now reply to the Question by the hon. Member for London University on 23rd September, 1948, and state what payment is being made by the contractors for the commercial use of the design and development work paid for out of public funds.

Mr. G. R. Strauss

The specification and design details of the Medresco hearing aid have been published and may be used by any manufacturer without charge. The registered name "Medresco" may not be used without Government permission; but the sets exported by the manufacturer referred to in the Question will not bear this name.
