HC Deb 09 February 1949 vol 461 c56W
65. Mr. Gammans

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he is aware that many of the British Broadcasting Corporation talks re-transmitted by the Hong Kong radio are most unsuitable for Chinese listeners; that an undue percentage of them consist of recordings from the Third Programme; and what arrangements are in force for consulting public opinion in Hong Kong regarding the nature of these British Broadcasting Corporation recordings.

Mr. Rees-Williams

I am consulting the Governor of Hong Kong on the points raised by the hon. Member and will communicate with him as soon as I have received the Governor's reply.
