§ 87. Mr. J. Lewisasked the Postmaster-General if he will state the value of the orders placed for equipment for the television service by his Department and the B.B.C. in 1948; and the value of the orders which it is estimated will be placed during 1949.
§ Mr. Wilfred PalingIn 1948 the value of orders for television service equipment placed by my Department was roughly £120,000 and by the B.B.C. was about £207,000. It is too early to state the value of the orders which will be placed in 1949.
