§ Sir H. Lucas-Toothasked the Minister of Health how many general medical practitioners who had signified their willingness to enter the National Health Service have since gone out of the service; and whether he has any information to show what proportions of such practitioners have ceased to practise altogether, are now carrying on private practices, or have gone overseas with a view to practising abroad, respectively.
§ Mr. BevanFrom 5th July up to 30th January, 497 general practitioners on the medical list had withdrawn, in addition 103 practitioners had died. Six hundred and two practitioners had joined the list in the same period. I have no information as to the reasons for the withdrawals.
