86. Sir H. Wattasked the Minister of Health what fees are payable to persons included in the ophthalmic list for services rendered under the National Health Service; and whether he will make a statement on his negotiations in progress to adjust these amounts.
§ Mr. BevanThe fees are:
£ s. d. Ophthalmic medical practitioners, sight testing fee 1 11 6 Ophthalmic opticians, sight-testing fee 15 6 Ophthalmic or dispensing optician, dispensing fee 1 5 0 Any proposals to adjust these amounts are matters for discussion with the professional organisations as regards ophthalmic medical practitioners and with the Optical Whitley Council as regards opticians.
