§ Mr. Piratinasked the Secretary of State for Air whether Colonel Jones, who commanded the Aden Protectorate Levies at the time of the riots in Aden in December, 1947, and who, according to the Report of the Commission of Inquiry, restored the ammunition to squadrons of the Aden Levies from whom it had been taken by the senior air staff officer in view of the 238W part they took in the riots, is still holding that post; and whether any steps have been taken against this officer.
§ Mr. A. HendersonNo disciplinary action has been taken against this officer, nor in my view is any required. Colonel Jones is still in command of the Aden Protectorate Levies. I should add that the report does not state that ammunition was withdrawn from the squadrons by the senior air staff officer.
