§ 90. Sir J. Lucasasked the Minister of Pensions if he is aware that there is at present no appeal from a tribunal assessment and, in view of the fact that injustices must sometimes occur, if he will consider recognising such rights of appeal.
§ Mr. MarquandAn assessment by a tribunal would only be made in consequence of an appeal against an assessment by my Department. I do not think a second appeal would be justified particularly as in assessment cases no questions of law arise. If the hon. Member has in mind a particular instance where218W a substantial increase in the war disablements has occurred, I shall be glad to look in it.
