asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he will indicate broadly what progress has been made in implementing the recommendations in the Report of the British Guiana and British Honduras Settlement Commission.

Friend the Member for Dagenham (Mr. Parker) in December last, I stated that much preliminary investigational work would have to be done before large-scale operations could begin and briefly indicated what action was immediately in prospect.
