§ Dr. SummerskillSubject to a tolerance of 6 lb. per cwt. to cover reasonable errors in sorting, potatoes sold for human consumption by growers and wholesalers must comply with the ware standard laid down by the Ware Potatoes (1949 Crop) (No. 2) Order which provides,inter alia, that such potatoes must be above a certain size and free from dirt and disease. I will investigate any cases brought to my notice where it appears that the Order has been infringed.
