Mr. Platts-Millsasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he has now received a report of the Governor of British Guiana on the petition to the Legislative Council on behalf of workers formerly employed at the United States air and naval bases in the Colony, praying that steps shall be taken to negotiate with 259W the United States Government for the payment to them of appropriate compensation in accordance with the recent ruling of the United States Supreme Court; and what action it is proposed to take in this matter.
