HC Deb 14 December 1949 vol 470 c268W
81. Air-Commodore Harvey

asked the Secretary of State for Air if he is satisfied that the jet aircraft, with which Royal Air Force auxiliary squadrons have been re-equipped, are of the latest type, and comparable with those used by the regular squadrons.

Mr. A. Henderson

The auxiliary squadrons are being re-equipped with the same types of jet aircraft as the Regular squadrons, namely Meteors and Vampires. While the newest marks of these aircraft are going to the Regular squadrons the marks issued to the auxiliary squadrons are high performance aircraft.
