§ 70. Mr. Osborneasked the President of the Board of Trade if he will make a statement on the progress which has so far been made in the establishment of Development Councils in the wool textiles and clothing trades, respectively.
§ Mr. BottomleyThe Clothing Industry Development Council Order was approved in draft by both Houses of Parliament during November and will come into operation on 1st January, 1950. The draft of an Order to establish a Development Council for the Wool Textile Industry, was laid before Parliament on 21st November,1949.
