§ Mr. Berryasked the Minister of Education if he is aware that in the Chislehurst-Sidcup district members of all ancillary services connected with education, such as clerical staffs, caretakers, attendance officers and laboratory assistants, receive the London salary allowance whereas teachers do not; and if he will take steps to remedy this.
§ Mr. Tomlinson:I am aware that the Chislehurst-Sidcup district is not included in the "London Area" as defined in the Report of the Burnham Committee. Any suggestion that that area should be differently defined is for the Committee to consider in the first instance.
