The total amount of advances made under these Acts and the parallel provisions in the Housing Acts between 1st January, 1919, and the 31st March, 1945, the latest date for which4W returns were made was £106,973,481. The rate of interest on the advances varied from time to time in accordance generally with the variation in the rate of interest on local authority loans.
