§ Dr. SummerskillI assume that the hon. Member refers to the purchase by my Department from Eire of 50,000 tons of the 1948 crop ware potatoes. Up to the 19th March about 20,000 tons had been resold to Eire for processing into alcohol at an estimated loss of £ 135,000.
