Mr. Dumpletonasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he is satisfied with the working of the welfare scheme in the Tanganyika sisal industry whereby only £2 10s. of the increase of £18 10s. per ton in the price of sisal is to be devoted to welfare measures in the industry, and what is to be the future of this scheme.
