§ Mr. ShinwellMy hon. Friend is under a misapprehension. As stated by my right hon. Friend the Foreign Secretary on 22nd September, these officers were examined by a series of medical boards, and it was finally reported by the Director-General, Army Medical Services, in consultation with the Medical Officers to the Home Office, in April that three of the officers were fit for trial but at that time the fourth was not. The War Office doctors did not declare any of the other officers to be unfit to stand their trial.
