Mr. Gammansasked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the fact that a percentage of houses for private ownership up to a value of £2,000 has now been granted, he proposes to seek an amendment to the Small Dwellings Act to enable local authorities to lend money on property to a greater value than £1,500.
§ Mr. BevanThe question whether an increase should be made in the limit of market value of a house on which money may be lent by a local authority has been noted for consideration in connection with future housing legislation.
