Mr. Hastings

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware that, in cases in which the drains of a dwelling-house injured by enemy action have been relaid in accordance with existing local by-laws, the War Damage Commission will only sanction payment for relaying according to obsolete standards; and what action he proposes to take.
