§ Sir I. Fraserasked the Minister of Labour if he will extend to ex-Regular members of the Armed Forces the same grants for education and technical training as those which are available to temporary ex-Service men and women.
§ Mr. IsaacsThe Further Education and Training Scheme was designed to assist those whose careers or training had been interrupted, or prevented from starting, by war service. It is therefore not generally applicable to men who chose the Armed Forces as their career. Other schemes to assist ex-Regulars on completion of their service are under consideration, and it is hoped to make an announcement very soon.
