asked the President of the Board of Trade the proportion of utility wool, cotton and rayon cloth in relation to non-utility, produced during the latest month for which statistics are available, showing the comparative figures for 1947 and 1946.

Mr. Belcher

The proportion of utility cloth in deliveries of apparel cloths to the home civilian market were: wool, June, 1948, 72 per cent., 1947 average 78 per cent., 1946 average 84 per cent.; cotton, May, 1948, 66 per cent., January-April, 1948, 75 per cent., 1947 average 80 per cent., 1946 average 83 per cent.; rayon, May, 1948, 71 per cent., 1947 average 72 per cent., 1946 average 77 per cent.
