HC Deb 20 September 1948 vol 456 c7W
Commander Maitland

asked the Minister of Works how long the considerable area available for storage space in hangars at Woodhall Airfield has been available; what is the size of this area; what charge it is proposed to make for the floor space; and what steps he is taking to see that this storage space is made immediately available to assist in meeting the considerable demands made by the agricultural industry for storage space in this district.

Mr. Key

Woodhall Airfield was finally cleared of Government stores on 2nd September; the area of the hangars vacated is 84,000 square feet and the usual rent is about 6d. a square foot per annum, exclusive of maintenance costs, rates, etc. This space has been notified as available and will be allocated early next month.
