§ Mr. MarquandThe average age of 1914–18 war disablement pensioners is now 59. The death rate in the five years 1943–47 was 24.7 per thousand pensioners. For the same five years the average male death rate for England and Wales in the age group 45–74 was 23.5 per thousand males.
