§ 65. Mr. John E. Haireasked the Economic Secretary to the Treasury if he will give an assurance that owners of building plots purchased before 1st July, 1948, will, if they now sell at existing use value, receive the full amount of the compensation assessed under Part VI of the Town and Country Planning Act, 1947.
§ Mr. JayNo. I can give no such assurance. I would tack this opportunity of re-inforcing the advice given to purchasers and sellers by the Central Land Board, namely, that they should adopt one of the three methods of sale set out in the Board's pamphlet "House 1," copies of which were recently made available in the Vote Office and Library.
