§ Sir I. Fraserasked the Minister of Town and Country Planning if he is aware of the widespread popular objection to the proposal to extend a military bridging camp now occupying a few acres on the banks of the River Lune, near Halton, by acquiring a much larger area, and if he will give an assurance that the Inter-Departmental Committee on Services Land Requirements will give full weight to these objections and hold a public inquiry.
§ Mr. SilkinObjections to this requirement of the War Department are now under consideration by the Inter-Departmental Committee, and full weight will be given to them. If any substantial objections on grounds of the public interest cannot be resolved, a public local inquiry will be held.
