§ Mr. StracheyFor the 12 months ended 9th October, 1948, fish friers in Lancashire received 6,855 tons of oils and fats. This figure represents some 10 per cent. of the total allocation for the United Kingdom—and the population of Lancashire is also some 10 per cent. of that of the United Kingdom.
