§ 59. Mr. Stokesasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs to what extent the recommendations of the Maxwell Committee appointed to inquire into British Control Commission Courts and the administration of justice amongst British subjects in Germany have been carried out and whether he will state the conditions of detention of British subjects now prevailing at Werl Prison.
§ Mr. MayhewAs I stated in my reply on 20th September, my right hon. Friend does not propose to publish the Maxwell Committee's Report which is a departmental document. Some of its recommendations have been accepted and others are under discussion. I am sending my hon. Friend a copy of the current prison regulations prevailing at Werl Prison.
